Acceptable use policy.
Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes activities that are prohibited on Unlevered. Its goal is simple: keep the Service safe, lawful, and reliable for tax professionals and their clients.
Prohibited use
You may not use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
- Generate, knowingly transmit, or store content you don’t have the right to share.
- Submit false, fraudulent, or materially misleading information into a study (inflated basis, fabricated photographs, etc.).
- Impersonate another person or firm, or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network without our explicit written permission (see responsible disclosure).
- Attempt to bypass authentication, RLS policies, or rate limits.
- Reverse-engineer or scrape Service code, model weights, or proprietary classification logic.
- Interfere with other firms’ use of the Service.
- Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm any person.
Engineered review & defensibility
Unlevered signs each study as its preparer; the facts and documents you submit are the study’s foundation. Submitting deliberately misclassified components, fabricated facts, or inflated costs — or pressing a study toward delivery over unresolved review blockers — constitutes a material AUP violation.
Account integrity
Workspace credentials belong to your firm and must not be shared outside its authorized users. Keep them confidential, and use the admin tools to grant and revoke access rather than passing credentials around.
Reporting violations
If you observe AUP violations, email hello@unlevered.io. We respond within one business day.
Consequences
Violations may result in warnings, content removal, account suspension, or termination. Severe violations may be reported to the appropriate state board of accountancy, the IRS, or law enforcement.
